I was starting to entertain the idea of cycling into work and thinking “man, that may be too hard.” Then I see this.  Personal story. I used to run into Eddie when he was out taking walks near his Pacific Palisades home when I was on my way up to Sullivan Canyon. He always waved and said “hello.” Nice chap.
