24 HOURS OF OLD PUEBLO RACE PREP: CARBON MAKES US NERVOUS
Not because of the tales of “catastrophic failure.”
Not because of the potential for it shattering and sending us to the ground.
But because it’s insanely expensive and when we need to cut down a pair of bars, we know that one mistake will cost us a ton of dough. To us, that’s truly painful.
This is what Rhys feared a couple days ago when he went to finish off his new race rig. So to counter his nervousness, he sought comfort in the three basic rules of any project:
Consult a professional.
Measure twice, cut once.
Consult a professional.
The professional gave him access to a top-notch table saw and did the deed. I thought MY Niner One 9 was light and tight? It’s got nothing on his new ride. So Rhys’ nervousness is over, so why am I getting so nervous?
Oh yeah. Because the race is in about a month and I’m nowhere even close to my fitness goals. Can’t blame carbon for that nervousness.
