THE SULLIVAN OAK: A READER’S TRIBUTE Got the lovely, peaceful photo of the Sullivan Oak from John, a friend of 18milesperhour. He wrote us to say that our story reminded him that it’s “one of his favorite spots on earth.” Ditto, John. He even took a marvelous nap under the tree and it’s newly-hung Tibetan prayer flags on one of those Indian Summer days last week. Hot damn, that’s fantastic. He even rode up to “Andy’s Tree” last Saturday with his 14 year-old son so they could pay tribute. Thanks, John. All that means more than you know.
