SOMETIMES THE LAMEST THINGS CAN BE LIFESAVERS.
The hanging, plastic, closet organizer.
It’s found in the most boring corner of the most boring stores.
It’s created to just shut the hell up, stay hidden and spend its life stuck in a closet holding shoes and other closet flotsam.
Now, out of nowhere, it gets to go on a little adventure. It gets to play an important role in Team 18milesperhour’s enjoyment of, and success in, the 24 Hours In The Old Pueblo.
It’ll be hung on the outside of the team van and filled with necessary bits, food, clothing and other comforts so that we can easily find these lifesavers in the dark night.
It gets to see humanity at its best and worst. Gets to see real, raw emotion. Lauging and crying.
True, the same range of emotions it would most likely witness on a daily basis were it holding ladies’ shoes, but at least this way it gets out into the fresh air.
